Tonderai Munyebvu in Kupenga Kwa Hamlet

16th November - 4th December 2010 Tues-Sat 7.45pm £12.00 or £6 concs

The award-winning Two Gents Productions return to Oval House Theatre with an intriguing new version of Shakepeare's revenge tragedy.
1888, Bulawayo, the race for Zimbabwe is on. In a world of unyielding beliefs and ritual, Hamlet, a tribal prince, returns home to find his father murdered. On a bare stage, with bold Zimbabwean traditional movement and song, two audacious performers tear down and rebuild Hamlet to create an urgent, poetic and spiritual reimagining of Shakespeare's classic tale.
